Course dates.
I have based these courses around Aviemore but they can be run anywhere. The Natural Trails Course is designed to get the rider used to steeper technical natural trails. These trails are the bridge between normal riding and a more aggressive style that will allow you to negotiate Enduro style or full mountain trails. As you grow in confidence you will be happy to trust your bike and also your own abilities to get you down a trail. This course will go back to basics to get the building blocks of knowledge nailed and then we will 'tweek' them slightly for this style of riding. I love natural trails as they change character depending on the weather, which offers various line choices to chose from! It is a very exhilarating way to ride and you will look forward to the mud and roots as they provide huge amounts of fun. If a full day does not fit into your schedule I am happy to run the course in two 3 hour sessions on different days. If you and a friend would like a course then let me know the dates and I will check my availability. Contact me here through the web site or on the phone number at the top of the page The plan for the day will be to get all the building blocks in place to boost confidence in the morning before going onto the steeper terrain at Burnside. Badaguish has some excellent trails that will allow the rider to gain confidence an understand the basic mechanics of riding steeper trails, this is an brilliant introduction to Enduro style trails. The first video is from a course I ran last year but please note the video does not always give you a true perspective of how steep the terrain is. The second is at Burnside where the afternoon sessions will be run. Evka Kupska reviewed OffTheGrid Mtb – 5 star 18 March· Well worth the drive up to Badaguish. Did the Natural Trails Course, and had a brilliant day on a good selection of trails. Plenty of practice on various terrains. 'Back to basics' at the beginning was a welcome refresher. Overall, it was a great confidence booster and helped me to pinpoint some bad habits I developed but wasn't aware of 5 Stars - 27 February i just did the natural trails course (first day of enduro). The course was excellent and even though I've been riding for a few years i learned a heck of a lot, and i think i speak for the rest of the group that were there with me. A whole day on the bike getting tuition was tremendous value for money (and the provided lunch was brilliant). If you are interested in having the core skills/foundation to ride steeper stuff and have all round better control of your bike, i'd give Neil a call... or if you are just after a cracking packed lunch tbh :-) |
